I am Catherine Sprouls and I am currently a junior (‘19) at Staples High School. I have been on the varsity soccer team at Staples for two years and have been awarded an FCIAC Honorable Mention. I love working with kids, from babysitting to playing with the Westport Rec teams through staples soccer. As a soccer player, I have played for a variety of premier teams in Connecticut including, Yankee United FC, GirlsCan Football, Beachside SC, and UK Elite. Last summer (2016), I also participated in the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
Growing up, I have always enjoyed playing competitive sports having previously played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. Soccer was always the most fun for me to play and I look forward to working with kids who will hopefully develop the same passion for the sport that I have. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and now have 12 years of playing experience. Playing a team sport, especially at Staples, has been such an important part of my life as I have made many new friends and it has taught me valuable life lesson including, leadership skills and how to be confident in myself. Every young athlete should have this opportunity be able to do something they love with people they love every day.
While I love playing soccer, I also love working with kids. I have a younger brother, Aidan (11), who I enjoy spending time with, on the soccer field or just at home working on homework, and many younger cousins who I babysit and love spending time with as well.
I look forward to working with young soccer superstars and helping them develop their skills to their fullest potential and bringing their love for the sport to their fullest potential as well!
