I’m Eric, a senior ('18) at Staples High School. I’ve had a racquet in my hand since I was very young. In elementary school I would play once a week for about an hour. I also played baseball, but in 6th grade I wanted to get better at tennis, so I dropped baseball, and played tennis 3-4 times a week. I also played in many USTA tournaments.
Freshman year I played on the JV tennis team. We went undefeated the whole season. Sophomore year I made the Staples Varsity tennis team. We have won FCIACS and States every year I’ve been on the team. We are currently on a 34 match winning streak.
I have also had dozens of private tennis lessons, and over a decade of experience, so I know how to improve in the game and how standard tennis lessons are done. I know that tennis takes a lot of practice, but it is a really fun and awesome sport that everyone should play!
