About Alexa

Hi my name is Alexa Mysel and I am currently a junior (‘19) at Staples High School.

I started playing lacrosse in the sixth grade, and I have loved it ever since.  Although I started playing a few years after many of my peers, I have still developed a strong passion for the sport.  Since starting in sixth grade, I have had the opportunity to try out every position on the field, and really get a feel for the game.

I have been a member of the Varsity Staples Girls Lacrosse team since my freshman year.  Being apart of a team has been one of my favorite parts about high school and the lacrosse community at Staples is tremendously spirited and overall fun.  During the summer I play for CT Grizzlies, a club lacrosse team which has allowed me to have the opportunity to play at various different tournaments against a plethora of different teams and players. Apart from lacrosse, I am a member of the Varsity Girls Staples Swim and Dive Team in the fall, where I dive!

During the years that I played for Westport PAL lacrosse, I always found myself enjoying the high school girls who came to help coach our team.  It was always so fun to be around them and seemingly comfortable.  Finding that I too love to be around kids and teach them what I know, I can’t wait to not only help young lacrosse players improve their skill, but become a friend to them as well!
